Dimitrov Books Semi – Final Spot At ATP Finals

Grigor Dimitrov the sixth seed destroyed David Goffin this afternoon 6-0 6-2 to make it through to the last four at the ATP Finals in London. With two wins out two Dimitrov makes it through from the Pete Sampras group on his ATP Finals debut.

In the other singles match this evening Dominic Thiem came through against Nadal replacement & fellow countryman Pablo Carreno Busta 6-3 3-6 6-4. Thiem will now pay David Goffin on Friday for a place in the last four.

Federer Beats Zverev At ATP Finals

Roger Federer the six – time champion this evening saw off the of the young talented German Alexander Zverev 7-6 5-7 6-1 to book his place in the semi – finals of the ATP Finals in London. Zverev the third seed can still reach the last four if he wins against American Jack Sock on Thursday. Sock earlier today defeated fifth seed Marin Cilic 5-7 6-2 7-6, which ended the Croatian hopes of progressing further.

Federer Wins Opening Match at ATP Finals

Roger Federer the six-time champion opened with a straight sets victory over American Jack Sock at the ATP Finals in London. Federer making his 15th appearance at the end of season event for the top eight ranked players in the world was to strong for Sock winning 6-4 7-6. In the other match in Boris Becker group, German Alexander Zverev had to come from a set down to beat Marin Cilic 4-6 6-3 6-4.

This evening world number one Rafael Nadal has pulled out of the event & bought to end his season after losing his opening round robin match against David Goffin 7-6 6-7 6-4. Nadal mentioned before the tournament his knee was not perfect & will now focus on recuperation before preparing for the new season.

Earlier today in the Pete Sampras group, Grigor Dimitrov won against Dominic Thiem 6-3 5-7 7-5.

Jack Sock Wins Paris Masters

Jack Sock the world number 22 has won the Paris Masters by beating qualifier Filip Krajinovic from Serbia in the final 5-7 6-4 6-1. Sock is the first American to win the event since Andre Agassi in 1999. The victory means Sock has claimed his place for the ATP Tour Finals in London next week.

Nadal Pulls Out Of Paris Masters

Rafael Nadal the world number one has withdrawn from the Paris Masters with a knee injury & may miss the season ending ATP finals event in London from November 12th – 19th. Nadal was due to play Filip Krajinovic from Serbia yesterday, the signs were there with his knee strapped during his third round victory over Pablo Cuevas.

Juan Martin del Potro has missed out on securing his place at the ATP finals in London as he was defeated by big serving American John Isner 6-4 6-7 6-4.

Nadal Into Paris Masters Quarter – Finals

Rafael Nadal secured his place in the last eight of the Paris Masters this evening with a 6-3 6-7 6-3 victory over world number 36 Pablo Cuevas. Nadal will now face Serbian qualifier Filip Krajinovic. Nadal second round victory on Wednesday over Hyeon Chung has ensured he will end 2017 as the world number one.

Earlier today, David Goffin became the first Belgian to qualify for the end of season ATP Tour finals in London which starts on November 13th.

Federer Wins Eighth Basel Title

World number two Roger Federer has won the Swiss Indoors title in Basel with a epic win over Juan Martin Del Potro this afternoon. Federer’s 6-7 6-4 6-3 victory moves him within 1460 ranking points of World number one Rafael Nadal. If Del Potro had won the final, it would of moved him into the final qualifying place for the ATP finals in London, now he must at least reach the semi – finals in Paris Masters next week to claim the final spot.

In Vienna Open final Lucas Pouille won the all french encounter with a straight sets victory over Jo Wilfried – Tsonga 6-1 6-4 to secure his third title of the year.

Kyle Edmund Reaches Semi-Finals In Vienna

Kyle Edmund the British number two moved into the semi-finals in Vienna with a straight sets victory over Jan – Lennard Struff 6-2 7-5. Edmund was in good form only dropping two points behind his first serve to reach his third ATP semi – final of the year. Next up for Edmund is the winner of the the all – French contest between Richard Gasquet & Lucas Pouille. In the other half of the draw number one seed Alexandra Zverev plays crowd favourite Jo Wilfried Tsonga later today.

Del Potro Wins Stockholm Open

Juan Martin del Potro from Argentina retained his Stockholm title with a straight sets victory over Grigor Dimitrov 6-4 6-2. Del Potro the world number 19 was on great form to claim his first title of the season and 20th of his career with the match lasting just one hour and 25 minutes.
