Kyle Edmund the British Number one was easily beaten today by American Steve Johnson in the last eight of the Winston-Salem Open. Edmund seeded three lost the match 6-1 6-2 in only one hour and four minutes which is a slight set back for his US Open preparations starting next week. Edmund is due to face Paolo Lorenzi in the first round of the US Open while Andy Murray the former world number one currently ranked 378th will play James Duckworth from Australia. Murray could face third seed Juan Martin del Potro in a mouth watering third round encounter.

Djokovic Makes History With Cincinnati Masters Victory
Novak Djokovic the former World number one became the first player in history to win all nine Masters 1,000 tournaments with a straight sets over Roger Federer in the Cincinnati Final. Djokovic a five-time runner up at the event won the match 6-4 6-4 and will look to take his current form into the US Open which starts on August 27th.

The Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic will attempt tonight to become the first player to win all nine Masters 1,000 tournaments when he faces crowd favourite Roger Federer in the Cincinnati Masters final. Djokovic a five-time runner up at the event, beat Marin Cilic in the semi-final 6-4 3-6 6-3. While Federer in his semi-final was as a set up when opponent David Goffin had to retired with a shoulder injury. Federer who has won the Cincinnati title seven times will be playing in his 150th final & is looking for his 99th win.
Andy Murray Wins First Round In Washington
Andy Murray has won his first round match in the Washington Open against Mackenzie McDonald 3-6 6-4 7-5. Next for Murray is fellow Brit Kyle Edmund who won there recent encounter at Eastbourne on the grass in straight sets. Murray hopes to play the tournaments in Toronto and Cincinnati in preparation for the US Open starting at the end of August.

Novak Djokovic has won the Wimbledon men’s title and earned his first Grand Slam title since 2016 by beating Kevin Anderson in the final on centre court in straight sets 6-2 6-2 7-6. Djokovic seeded 12 has now won the Wimbledon title four times and will move back into the top 10 in the World ranking this morning.
In the ladies final Angelique Kerber beat the seven time champion Serena Williams to claim her first Wimbledon title. The German 11th seed won the match 6-3 6-3 to add to her 2016 US Open and Australian Open Grand Slam crowns.
Djokovic Beats Nadal To Reach Wimbledon Final
Novak Djokovic has reached the men’s Wimbledon Final with a thrilling five set win over World number one Rafael Nadal this afternoon on centre court. Djokovic won the match 6-4 3-6 7-6 3-6 10-8 in five hours and 16 minutes and is now one match away from his first Grand Slam title since 2016. In the final tomorrow afternoon Novak will face big serving Kevin Anderson from South Africa who had the epic semi-final win against John Isner yesterday, in a match that took over six hours.
Kevin Anderson Reaches Wimbledon Final
Kevin Anderson from South Africa won the second longest match in Wimbledon history this evening on centre court by beating American John Isner to reach the men’s final. Anderson the eight seed won the match 7-6 6-7 6-7 6-4 26-24 in six hours and 35 minutes. The last set lasted two hours and 50 minutes. Anderson will now face either Novak Djokovic or Rafael Nadal in the final on Sunday.
Federer Knocked Out Of Wimbledon
Roger Federer the defending champion has been knocked out of Wimbledon by big serving South African Kevin Anderson in a five set thriller on court number one. Federer who was aiming for his ninth Wimbledon singles title missed a match point in the third set. Anderson fought back from two sets down to win the match 2-6 6-7 7-5 6-4 13-11 in four hours and 13 minutes. Next for Anderson is American John Isner who beat Milos Raonic in four sets,this will be both players first semi-final at SW19.
The world number one Rafael Nadal and two time Wimbledon champion reached the semi-final with a five sets victory over Juan Martin del Potro 7-5 6-7 4-6 6-4 6-4 on centre court. Nadal will now play Novak Djokovic who defeated Kei Nishikori 6-3 3-6 6-2 6-2.
Federer Into Wimbledon Quarter-Final
Roger Federer is into the Quarter-finals of Wimbledon with a straight sets victory over Frenchman Adrian Mannarino this afternoon. Federer the defending champion yet to drop a set so far in this years championship, won the match 6-0 7-5 6-4 against the 22nd seed. Next for Federer is big serving South African Kevin Anderson.
Novak Djokovic made it through to his 10th Wimbledon quarter-final with a victory against Karen Khachanov from Russia 6-4 6-2 6-2. While World number one Rafael Nadal reached his first Wimbledon quarter-final since 2011 with a win over unseeded Czech Jiri Vesely 6-3 6-3 6-4.

The British number one Kyle Edmund has set up a mouth watering third round clash with Novak Djokovic on Saturday after beating American Bradley Klahn in straight sets this evening on centre court. Edmund was far to strong and won the match 6-4 7-6 6-2 to progress into the last 32 at SW19 for the first time.
