Current champion Roger Federer is into the second round of Wimbledon with a straight sets victory over Victor Hanescu 6-3 6-2 6-0. Federer looked in great form only making six unforced errors during the match. Federer next round match will be against world number 116 Sergiy Stakhovsky from the Ukraine.

Wimbledon 2013
Andy Murray will be third match on centre court tomorrow against world number 95 German Benjamin Becker in the first round and the start of his quest to win the Wimbledon title. In total there is 10 Britons in the first round of the singles, 3 players gained direct entry because of their world rankings and 7 wild cards we awarded. One of the wild cards was given to in form teenager Kyle Edmond.
Lopez wins Eastbourne Title
Feliciano Lopez defeated Frenchman Gilles Simon 7-6 6-7 6-0 to win the Eastbourne title today and claim his third career title. The two players will meet each other again in the first round of Wimbledon next week. There was success however for fellow countryman Nicolas Mahut who won his first ATP title with a straight sets victory over Stanislas Wawrinka in Den Bosch.

The world number two Andy Murray will start his Wimbledon campaign next week. Murray seeded number two faces a tough path to reach the final again with either Roger Federer or Rafa Nadal potentially waiting for him in the semi-finals. The first round match for Murray is against German Benjamin Becker who he beat at Queen’s Tournament recently.

Murray wins the Queen’s Championship
Andy Murray has won his third Queen’s title with a victory over Marin Cilic 5-7 7-5 6-3 this afternoon. Murray served very well throughout the match and completed the perfect preparation for his Wimbledon quest.

Murray into Queen’s final
Andy Murray the world number 2 has beaten Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga to secure his place in tomorrows final. Murray came through in three sets 4-6 6-3 6-2 and now will play defending champion Marin Cilic who beat Lleyton Hewitt in the other semi-final 6-4 4-6 6-2.
Murray into the semi-finals at Queen’s
The world number two Andy Murray is into his third semi-final at the Queen’s Club tournament. Murray won against German Benjamin Becker in straight sets 6-4 7-6 to set up a last four encounter against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga or Denis Kudla. Murray is showing good form and is yet to drop a set in the tournament so far.
Nadal wins his 8th French Open Title
Rafael Nadal has become the first man to win a Grand Slam singles title eight times. Nadal beat fellow countryman David Ferrer in straight sets 6-3 6-2 6-3 in the final at Roland Garros this afternoon to win the French Open. This was the Spaniard 12th major Grand Slam title and now moves him past the legends of the game Bjorn Borg and Rod Laver on the all-time list.
