Nadal wins US Open 2013

Rafael Nadal has beaten the world number one Novak Djokovic in four sets 6-2 3-6 6-4 6-1 to win the US Open for the second time. The victory gives Nadal his 13th Grand Slam title. With no ranking points Nadal is almost certain to over take Djokovic and become the world number one in the coming weeks.

Djokovic to play Nadal in US Open final 2013

World number one Novak Djokovic will face world number two Rafael Nadal in the final of the US Open. Djokovic won a thrilling five set match against Stanislas Wawrinka 2-6 7-6 3-6 6-3 6-4 to reach his fourth US Open final in a row. Nadal won in straight sets 6-4 7-6 6-2 against Richard Gasquet of France. Nadal has now a 21 match unbeaten run on hard courts this year.

Murray out of US Open 2013

Andy Murray is out of the US Open after a straight sets defeat against Stanislas Wawrinka 6-4 6-3 6-2. Wawrinka played a stunning match and did not face a single break point. In the semi-final he will face world number one Novak Djokovic or 21st seed Mikhail Youzhny.

Murray wins first round match at US Open 2013

The defending champion Andy Murray has beaten Frenchman Michael Llodra  in straight sets 6-2 6-4 6-3 to progress to the second round of the US Open. Murray joins fellow Brit Dan Evans in round two who had a great victory over 11th seed Kei Nishikori. Evans won the match 6-4 6-4 6-2 and will now face Australian Bernard Tomic.

Nadal wins Cincinnati Title

Rafael Nadal beat American John Isner in straight sets 7-6 7-6 to win the Cincinnati Masters 1000 series tournament for the first time. Isner did not face a break point on his own serve during the match, but this was not enough as Nadal took his chances in the tie-breaks.

Nadal to face Isner in Cincinnati Final

The world number 3 Rafael Nadal will play John Isner in the final of the Cincinnati Final this evening after a straight sets victory 7-5 7-6 over Tomas Berdych. In the other semi-final Isner came from a set down to beat Juan Martin del Potro the world number seven 6-7 7-6 6-3.
