Murray & Federer Into Second Round At US Open 2015

Andy Murray served up a classic under the lights in New York defeating Nick Kyrgios in four sets 7-5 6-3 4-6 6-1 to progress to the second round to face Adrian Mannarino of France.

The second seed Roger Federer steamed passed Leonardo Mayer in only 77 minutes 6-1 6-2 6-2. The fifth seed Stan Wawrinka was to strong for Albert Ramos-Vinolas 7-5 6-4 7-6.

Nadal Into Second Round Of US Open 2015

Rafael Nadal seeded eighth is into the second round of the US Open with a four set victory over the young bright talent Borna Coric 6-3 6-2 4-6 6-4. World number one Novak Djokovic was on good form with a comfortable win against Joao Souza from Brazil 6-1 6-1 6-1.

Last year’s runner up Kei Nishikori was the big upset of the first day losing to Frenchman Benoit Paire 6-4 3-6 4-6 7-6 6-4.

Murray Into Second Round At Wimbledon

Andy Murray has made a good start to his Wimbledon 2015 campaign with a victory over Mikhail Kukushkin of Kazakhstan in the blistering heat at SW19. Murray came through in straight sets 6-4 7-6 6-4 and will now face Dutchman Robin Haase.

There were easy wins for Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal both securing straight set victories. Federer beat Damir Dzumhur in 67 minutes 6-1 6-3 6-4 while Nadal won against Thomaz Bellucci 6-4 6-2 6-3.

Andy Murray wins Queen’s Club Title

Andy Murray was on superb form with two wins in a day to be crowned the champion at the Queens’s Club this afternoon. Murray had to finish a rain delayed semi-final from yesterday beating Victor Troicki 6-3 7-6. In the final Murray was just to good with a 6-3 6-4 win over the big serving South African Kevin Anderson. This is Murray forth title at Queen’s and he now joins the likes of John McEnroe and Boris Becker who also won the championship four times.

Roger Federer the world number 2 has won the Halle title today for the eighth time. Federer now 33 won 7-6 6-4 against Italy’s Andreas Seppi. The victory now takes Roger to 86 career titles.

 

 

ROGER FEDERER INTO HALLE FINAL

The world number 2 Roger Federer moved into the grass court final in Halle, Germany. The top seed won 7-6 7-6 against Ivo Karlovic which brings him closer to a eight title at the event. Standing in his way is Italy’s Andreas Seppi after Kei Nishikori was forced to retire early with a leg injury during the first set.

Andy Murray semi-final match against Victor Troicki at the Queen’s Club was suspended because of rain and tied at 3-3. The winner of this match will face the big serving Kevin Anderson in the final. Anderson was on great form defeating French opponent Gilles Simon 6-3 6-7 6-3.

Andy Murray Into Semi-Finals at Queens

Andy Murray the three-time champion is into the semi-final at the Queens Club after beating Gilles Muller from Luxembourg this evening 3-6 7-6 6-4. Murray who was in good grass court form will now face the Serb Viktor Troicki who defeated the big serving John Isner 7-6 6-3.

In the other semi-final tomorrow Kevin Anderson will play Gilles Simon. Anderson overcame Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 7-6 7-5 while Simon came through a tough 3 set match against Milos Raonic 4-6 6-3 7-5.
